Coronavirus Update

A message from Di Daw, CEO

As with all other independent sector providers we are signed up to assist the NHS in its response to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

We are working closely with our partners at East Kent Hospitals NHS University Trust to provide additional bed capacity and sharing the specialist skills of our clinical teams to support these efforts.

This work will be completed to support the NHS and therefore, Spencer Private Hospitals in an endeavour to work with the nation and fight COVID-19 will not be making any profit.

Unfortunately, in order to achieve this we have had to cancel all elective surgery for the foreseeable future and would like to extend our sincere apologies to all of those patients affected as we understand that some of you will be very disappointed. Our administration team are in the process of contacting all patients affected.

We hope that you will understand given the scale of the national emergency, that this has all happened very quickly. We recognise we have the ability to play a key supporting role to the NHS at this time and that, in turn, we are also playing a key part in the recovery of the health and wellbeing of our nation.

Whatever lies ahead, we would like to thank everyone for their continuing hard work keeping our hospitals open and our patients, staff and loved ones safe.

Di Daw

If you have a booked appointment and are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19 we ask you do not to attend the hospital and contact NHS 111 for advice.

If you have not heard from us, and you are symptom free, please attend your appointment as normal.

We have now cancelled all elective surgery for the foreseeable future.

Visiting our Patients

Due to the current situation and government guidelines, visiting times have been suspended until further notice. Spencer Private Hospitals will do everything they can to ensure patients can contact their loved ones and would suggest telephone and face time apps are used as an alternative.
