Hydrocele

Hydrocele is a collection of fluid causing swelling around the testicle. If the connection between their abdomen and scrotum remains open the fluid can collect and cause discomfort and swelling.

A Hydrocele repair often is performed through a cut in the groin and the connection is tied off to stop the movement of fluid.

The procedure will be performed whilst your child is under a general anaesthetic, it is performed as a day case and your child will be able to go home once they have met the discharge criteria.
