Background Information

Dr Heggy graduated with honours from Cairo University's Faculty of Medicine, one of the top medical schools in the Middle East and Africa and among the busiest tertiary centres in the region. He further specialised with a Master's Degree and PhD in Paediatric Anaesthesia and Perioperative Pain Management, studying under a pioneer in ultrasound-guided techniques while developing innovative interventions - including early adoption of ultrasound-guided methods that reduce recovery times significantly, helping children and young people return to their normal lives faster and smoother. 

Dr Heggy's training included advanced clinical experience in chronic pain management under regional experts, followed by continuous professional development in pain management across multiple NHS trusts in the UK. 

Dr Heggy integrates UK and International best practices into his work, having collaborated with multicultural communities to understand diverse pain beliefs and healing traditions. Dr Heggy is a firm believer that effective pain relief begins with seeing the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Dr Heggy's holistic approach is tailored to patient’s needs with the aim of restoring functions and quality of life, which may include conservative and interventional approaches to many chronic pain conditions for e.g.:
