Vascular Surgery

Our vascular surgery service focuses on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of arterial, venous and lymphatic disease. This includes:

  • Carotid artery disease - caused by the narrowing or blockage of carotid arteries that carry blood to the neck and head, and can lead to a stroke
  • Aneurysmal disease - which results from a bulge in a blood vessel caused by a weakness in the blood vessel wall
  • Peripheral arterial disease - caused by the restriction of the flow of blood to the lower limbs due to a build-up of fat in the arteries
  • Venous disease - when veins become diseased or abnormal
  • Raynaud’s disease - a condition affecting the blood supply to certain parts of the body, usually the fingers and toes
  • Hyperhidrosis - excessive sweating
  • Lymphoedema - caused by damage or disruption to the lymphatic system that drains excess fluid and removes bacteria from the body’s tissue
