Background Information

Dr Grosser attended medical school in Erlangen, Germany and completed a scientific research project in brain electrophysiology, followed by a doctorate in medicine.

He came to England to complete his junior doctor training between 1997 and early 2000, achieving a first-class pass in the prestigious membership examination for the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Grosser undertook cardiology speciality training in Maastricht, under Professor Wellens, and gained world-leading experience in arrhythmia at this pioneering unit.

In 2004, he returned to England to work as a Cardiology Consultant in the UK's busiest centre for interventional cardiology, Leeds General Infirmary. This provided valuable additional sub-speciality training in interventional cardiology.

He then completed an international fellowship at the renowned Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, training under Professor Montalescot, a world-leading authority in acute coronary syndromes and heart attacks.

Subsequently, he moved to the University Hospital Nijmegen as a full-time interventional cardiologist, consolidating his interventional cardiology experience.

Education and Research

On his return to the UK, Dr Grosser took up a substantive post at East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust, serving Margate, Canterbury and Ashford.
