Background Information
Miss Aylur Rajasri is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust and Spencer Hospitals at Ashford, Canterbury and Margate. She is an honorary reader at Kent University and faculty at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gyanecologists.
Miss Rajasri has extensive experience in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the last 30 years. Miss Rajasri completed her medical degree with distinction in 1994 in India. After securing MD research in infertility and minimal access surgery with distinction, Miss Rajasri relocated to the UK in 2002. She worked in various hospitals across England including Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucestershire before moving to East Kent. Miss Rajasri achieved FRCOG, Advanced Diploma in Ultrasound scan, and Certificate in Management of Menopause. She founded the preterm service in East Kent and achieved regional and national recognition for her dedicated service.
Miss Rajasri provides holistic assessment and women-centered care with her vast experience and knowledge culminated over a period of 30 years. Her specialisms include menopause care, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, menstrual problems, polycystic ovaries and recurrent pregnancy loss. Miss Rajasri is the lead for preterm service and lead representative in developing the Pan Kent HRT formulary and guideline.
Miss Rajasri is a keen educator, national trainer, researcher, leader and has won national and regional awards for her contribution to women’s care. Miss Rajasri has contributed to reputed textbooks and course manuals and published many peer-reviewed articles in reputed journals. She regularly presents her work at national and international conferences and delivers frequent GP training sessions on menopause, menstrual disorders and women’s health. Miss Rajasri has a formal degree in education and management and delivered many talks to primary and secondary care specialists on menopause, pelvic pain and pregnancy issues.
She is an honorary lecturer at the University of Kent and National Trainer for the ROBuST course and is currently pursuing a degree in lifestyle medicine in order to provide holistic, evidence-based care. As an academic, Miss Rajasri has contributed to books in contraception, endocrinology, Bonney’s gynaecology textbook, ROBuST Training Manual, and has several peer-reviewed publications. Miss Rajasri believes in life long learning and works closely with various experts in her field.
Miss Rajasri has received a Tommy’s Award, health care hero award and regional innovation award for her contribution to womens health. Miss Rajasri has featured in BBC radio interviews discussing the developments she has acheived in womens health.
