Background Information

Mr Streeter is a senior Consultant Urologist with extensive specialist experience in the management of benign and malignant prostate conditions, including prostate cancer, robotic prostatectomy, focal therapy and the management of urinary symptoms in both men and women, as well as all aspects of general Urology. 

He has introduced the Da Vinci Robot, Urolift, Rezum and Nanoknife to East Kent. 

Mr Streeter was educated at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, and has an additional higher degree in molecular biology research at Cancer Research UK.

Mr Streeter is a strong supporter of the NHS and continues to work at East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust where he is the longest serving Consultant.

Mr Streeter studied at Trinity College Cambridge graduating with First Class Honours before completing medical training at Oxford University in 1995.

He completed 2 years of research into the molecular biology of bladder cancer with Cancer Research UK in Oxford in 2002 and was rewarded with a Doctorate of Medicine for his thesis.

In 2007 he was awarded the Keith Yeates Gold Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons for his outstanding performance in the FRCS (Urol) examination and completed his training with visits to the USA and Egypt for further study.

Mr Streeter was appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon at Kent and Canterbury Hospital in May 2008 and he is the longest serving Consultant in the department.

Mr Streeter has served as Lead Clinician and Cancer Lead for several years over this time.

Mr Streeter is currently the highest volume per annum prostate cancer surgeon in Kent and his achievements have included introducing Robotic Cystectomy, and pioneering minimally invasive prostate surgery in East Kent with Urolift and Rezum treatments, and more recently, Nanoknife focal therapy for prostate cancer.

He has also developed new electronic patient tracking systems for both prostate and bladder cancer, greatly streamlining care for these people.

Mr Streeter is married with children and enjoys running, cycling, skiing, music and surfing.
