Patients & Visitors

At Spencer Private Hospitals, patient care is our number one priority. We believe that your health is your choice, and offer leading private hospital care to patients across Kent.

Are you expecting treatment or planning to visit a loved one at Spencer Private Hospitals? Here’s some helpful information.

Ensuring quality patient care

At Spencer Private Hospitals, we pride ourselves on the quality of healthcare and outcomes that we provide. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, and our reports are available for you to read on their website:

We also publish our quality report annually, as well as our safer staffing report.

Infection rates

The focus on infection control in relation to preventable infections is a key priority for our staff, who are justifiably proud of our low infection rates.

Patient care standards

To ensure the quality of our processes alongside the private hospital care services we provide, we are audited annually against the external ISO 9000:2015 standard and maintain our accreditation. In 2012, we were awarded ISO 14001 in a reflection of our rigorous environmental standards.

What to expect from private hospital care

The independent care sector has high standards, and offers faster and more personalised patient care than public healthcare can provide. You can find a Consultant or specialist for your specific condition, receive treatment and surgeries in a short time frame, and enjoy attentive aftercare and outpatient support.

The video below explains more about what private hospital care will be like.

Paying for your treatment at a private clinic

We work with all the major insurers. If you have medical insurance, either privately or with your company, we will advise you step by step through the process.

If you do not have medical insurance or are not covered by your current policy, you can choose to be seen as a self-paying private patient. Please visit our Prices page for more.

Spencer Private Hospitals’ visiting hours

Our private hospital visiting times are between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm, and we request that visitors are limited to two per patient wherever possible.

Encouraging open communication

We encourage any feedback from our patients to help us continue to maintain only the highest standards of care at our private clinics. If you’re unhappy with your treatment, we have a rigorous and transparent process where you’ll get the chance to speak with your Consultant, Doctor, or Nurse and voice any grievances.

Patient care information

We take patient safety in healthcare very seriously and always prioritise the well-being of patients receiving treatment at our private clinics.
