HR Business Partner

Carina joined Spencer in December 2016 as a HR Assistant. She was promoted to Senior HR Assistant in May 2018, then to HR Advisor in December 2019 and appointed as HR Business Partner in July 2025. She holds a BSc in Psychology and achieved her Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in December 2018.

Background Information

Carina brings extensive experience from the healthcare sector, having supported the management of her family’s nursing and care home businesses. She also previously worked at Saga, where she held the position of Team Manager across both the Healthcare and Personal Alarm System divisions.

In her role as HR Business Partner, Carina provides expert, risk mitigated HR advice to Heads of Department and the Senior Management Team across a broad spectrum of complex and sensitive employee matters. Her key focus areas include recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance and cultivating a positive and resilient workplace culture.

Carina is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider and oversees the contracts and service delivery of the organisation’s external Occupational Health and Counselling providers.
