Dr Abdul Khan MBBS, MSc, FRCP, MRCPI, MRCP (Rheumatology), Consultant Rheumatologist and Physician
Dr Khan has attained extensive experience in Rheumatology and General Medicine having trained in London Deanery in renowned teaching hospitals including Kings College Hospital London and St Georges Hospital London. He has experience in General Rheumatology and sub-specialties of Rheumatology both with inpatient and outpatient management. In addition, Dr Khan has expertise in dealing with more complex rheumatologic conditions and its complications.
Dr Khan has been awarded membership including MBBS, MRCP (UK), MRCPI and MRCP (Rheumatology) from the Royal College of Physicians London. He have also awarded Master of Science in Rheumatology (MSc) (passed with Merit) from Kings College London. Dr Khan is also (C.A.S.E) Accredited Focus Musculoskeletal Ultrasound qualified from Canterbury University.
He has expertise in General and Complex Rheumatologic conditions with ultrasound skills for the diagnosis and management of various Inflammatory Musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr Khan works closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists to provide a multidisciplinary team approach towards management of individual patients. Treatment is tailored according to the individual needs. Patients can expect a personal empathetic service.

Dr Khan has completed training in London South Thames in Rheumatology and General medicine. He has attained experience by working in big teaching hospitals including Kings College Hospital London and St Georges Hospital London. In addition he has managed general rheumatology both as inpatient and outpatient management, dealing with complex rheumatologic conditions.
He is musculoskeletal ultrasound qualified from Canterbury Christchurch University and has experience in scanning for the early arthritis clinic and disease monitoring. He also does US guided injections.
Dr Khan has a strong interest in researching Rheumatology and has completed a MSc in Rheumatology from Kings College London in 2010. He tested the simple hypothesis that pre-treatment biomarkers predict response to biologics. It was presentation at the 'American College of Rheumatology Conference' (ACR) in Atlanta USA 2010. He has been published in various papers and the most recent published in 'Annals of Rheumatic Diseases' which he looked at smokers and its response to biologics in Rheumatoid Arthritis patients and it was also presented in the 'British Society of Rheumatology Conference' (BSR) in Glasgow.
Currently working as Consultant Rheumatologist and physician at Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital Margate, he is involved in Musculoskeletal ultrasound training of Specialist Registrars and also a supervisor of Core Medical Trainees.
