Mr Smith trained in Orthopaedic surgery in South East England, rotating though Guys and St. Thomas’s Hospital in London, Swindon, Brighton, and Hastings. Mr Smith is a fellowship trained hand surgeon, with the Klienert Institue of Hand and Microsurgery, Louisville, USA.
Mr Smith has been a specialist hand surgeon in East Kent since 2006.
Outside of work he enjoys cycling and triathlon including Ironman, Marmotte and Etape events.
