Private Gynaecologist FAQs

A specialist working in private women’s health is called a Gynaecologist; though, sometimes, they are also trained in Obstetrics (involving childbirth and pregnancy) which gives them the title Obstetrician-Gynaecologist or OB-GYN.

Gynaecologists specialise in the health of the female reproductive system, from menstruation to menopause, treating conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, and vaginal prolapse. Gynaecologists can carry out routine procedures such as cervical screenings, but they can also conduct more intensive surgeries and tests like hysterectomies or colposcopies.

For a full list of the conditions our team of private Gynaecologists can treat, head to our Gynaecology Services page.

If you are suffering from a Gynaecological problem such as pelvic pain, menstrual issues, or endometriosis, it is always worth seeing a Gynaecologist. Private Gynaecologists are especially worth it if you require faster access to Consultations and treatment, since there are typically shorter waiting times and more flexibility when it comes to appointments.

If it’s women’s reproductive health in particular, then a Gynaecologist is the primary type of doctor to see. Gynaecologists are experts in everything from menopause and endometriosis to menstrual problems, urodynamic tests, and vaginal repair.

The exact cost of a Consultation with treatment from a private Gynaecologist will vary based on a number of factors, including the complexity of your condition and the intensity of the treatment required.
